Abstract
In this talk I will present an approach to the study of second order q-difference equations based on the WKB approximation, and comment on implications for broader correspondences with q-Painleve’ equations and wall-crossing in five-dimensional supersymmetric Quantum Field Theory.

Pietro Longhi is a senior lecturer/associate professor at Department of Physics and Astronomy; Theoretical Physics of Uppsala University, Sweden. His work focuses on the intersection of physics and mathematics. He is interested in mathematical aspects of non-perturbative dynamics in supersymmetric quantum field theories and string theory, such as: spectral networks, wall-crossing, 3-manifold invariants and aspects of homological mirror symmetry.
