In April 2024, the Shing-Tung Yau Center of Southeast University welcomes a new member, Dr. Zhengwen Liu as a professor.
Zhengwen Liu obtained his Doctorate from the Université catholique de Louvain in 2019. He then worked as a research fellow at DESY Hamburg from 2019 to 2022, and subsequently as an assistant professor at the Niels Bohr International Academy in Copenhagen.
Zhengwen’s research is dedicated to understanding the fundamental interactions in nature, with a principal focus on scattering amplitudes and Feynman integrals in quantum field theory, ranging from their mathematical structures to their applications to collider physics and gravitational-wave observations. Notably, he has been playing a pioneering role in systematically introducing modern analytical techniques from particle physics and modern mathematics to classical gravity, achieving state-of-the-art results, including the dynamics of inspiralling binary systems to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order (NNNLO) in the post-Minkowskian approximation.
