Abstract
I will review our recent work on counting BPS states in superconformal quantum mechanics. The main application is providing evidence for a holographic duality between certain SCQM models and Ultra-Spinning supersymmetric black holes in AdS. Our work also leads to new results characterising the asymptotic growth of the dimensions of the cohomology of the ADHM moduli space of Yang-Mills instantons.
Speaker
Nick Dorey is a professor of the DAMTP, University of Cambridge. His research is concerned with gauge field theories and string theory. He is particularly interested in supersymmetric gauge theories and their remarkable duality properties. His recent work focuses on the emergence of integrability, both in gauge theory and string theory, in the context of the AdS/CFT correspondence.
