Title: Krylov basis methods for operator growth and complexity
Speaker: Prof. Dr. Pawel Caputa
Affiliation: University of Warsaw, Poland
Time: 16:00-17:00, Tuesday, 21st March, 2023 (UTC+8, Beijing Time)
Venue: Zoom Meeting (ID: 385 442 0225; Passcode: yauc)
Abstract
I will introduce recent definitions of the operator growth and state complexity based on the Krylov basis. I will then present various examples and discuss open questions.
Speaker
Pawel Caputa is a physics professor at the University of Warsaw. He received his Ph.D. from the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen. He has worked on integrability, 1/N corrections and representation theory in gauge theories. Together with Tadashi Takayanagi, he has been working on constraints on holographic field theories from entanglement dynamics. His recent work focuses on entanglement in QFT and, in particular, on entanglement measures in excited states of quantum many-body systems. He is a member of the “It from Qubit” international collaboration from Simons Foundation, on “Quantum Fields, Gravity and Information”.The seminar will be broadcasted online by Zoom.
Interested people are free to join, without registration in advance.
