Abstract
Recently, there are huge developments in generalized global symmetry. Subsystem symmetry, mostly appearing in exotic models with fractonic excitations, is one direction of generalization in which the symmetry operators are only topological in submanifolds. In this talk, I will discuss two dualities between lattice models in (2+1)d with non-anomalous subsystem $\mathbb{Z}_2$ symmetry: subsystem Jordan-Wigner (JW) duality and subsystem Kramers-Wannier (KW) duality. The subsystem JW duality maps bosonic theory to fermionic theory and helps us construct the fermionic theory with subsystem symmetry. Similar to the KW transformation in (1+1)d, the duality operator of subsystem KW transformation has a noninvertible fusion rule. When the theory is self dual in the subsystem KW transformation, it will have a noninvertible symmetry.
