2021年11月丘成桐中心新增成员--Marcus Sperling

In November 2021, the Shing-Tung Yau Center of Southeast University welcomes a new member, Dr. Marcus Sperling as an associated researcher.

Marcus Sperling received his Master degree of Sciences in Physics from Technische Universität Dresden, Germany in 2013 and his Ph.D. degree from Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover, Germany in 2016. Then he worked as a Post Doctoral Researcher in the Faculty of Physics of University of Vienna in Austria from 2016 to 2018 and as a Post Doctoral Fellow at Yau Mathematical Sciences Center of Tsinghua University in China from 2018 to 2021.

His main research interests include Supersymmetric theories in spacetime dimension 3 to 6 with particular emphasis on the geometry of the vacuum moduli spaces and the inclusion of supersymmetric defects.

东南大学丘成桐中心成立四年来，一直非常重视高水平人才的招聘和引进。根据丘成桐主任和学校的要求，中心通过专家介绍、网站招聘等各种方式广揽一流人才。同时，根据学校把丘中心作为“学术特区”来建设的新定位，中心进一步细化了对聘用人员的学术评估程序，不唯论文篇数，致力于招聘有潜力的高水平研究人才。

2021年11月，中心新引进的专职副研究员德国籍Marcus Sperling博士已到岗工作。Marcus Sperling于2013年在德国德累斯顿工业大学获物理硕士学位，并于2016年在德国汉诺威大学获得博士学位。随后，他分别于2016至2018年及2018至2021年在奥地利维也纳大学物理系和清华大学丘成桐数学科学中心从事博士后研究工作。他的研究方向为时空维度为3到6维的超对称理论，尤其是真空模空间的几何结构以及带有超对称缺陷的理论。

目前，丘成桐中心对2021年以来应聘的其他科研人员仍在积极遴选中。丘中心将继续在丘成桐主任的领导下，根据学校的要求，面向全球招聘各类高水平学术人才，为学校高水平建设作出贡献。欢迎学术才俊加盟！
