Abstract:The inverse scattering theory has been a fast-developing area for the past forty years. Majority of studies focuses on inverse time harmonic wave scattering problems at a fixed frequency. At the same time, the measurements should be taken all around the unknown objects. However, from the practical point of view, we have only limited aperture data. In particular, the measurements are only available at isolated directions/points. To make the inverse scattering problems solvable, measurements should be taken with multiple frequencies. This is practically relevant because it is easier to vary frequency than to use arrays of receivers/sources. We introduce some of our recent progress on the theory and numerical methods in this direction.


  报告人介绍:刘晓东,2010年博士毕业于中国科学院数学与系统科学研究院,之后留所工作并先后担任助理研究员和副研究员,2011年至2013年在德国卡尔斯鲁厄理工学院做洪堡学者,2014年入选中科院数学院陈景润未来之星计划,2015年获浪潮优秀青年学术奖, 2018年入选中科院青年创新促进会,2019年受邀在第八届华人数学家大会做45分钟报告。刘晓东博士的主要研究方向是偏微分方程反问题,在波反散射的唯一性和数值算法方面做了很多工作,目前为止在SISC, SIAP, SIIMS, IP, IPI, JCP, JDE等重要期刊发表40篇文章
