报告题目:Microstate Counting of AdS (Near-)BPS Black Holes via AdS/CFT  Correspondence

报告摘要:

Hawking’s seminal work in 1970s showed that black holes obey a set of rules,  which are similar to the classical thermodynamics. In particular, the entropy of  a black hole is proportional to the area of its horizon. A natural question is  whether we can find the entropy by directly counting the microstates of a black  hole, like statistical mechanics founded by Boltzmann. This problem for AdS_3  BPS black holes was solved by Strominger and Vafa in 1996. However, for the  AdS_5 BPS black holes the problem had remained open for many years. Recently,  several different groups successfully reproduce the entropies of AdS_5 BPS black  holes from the microscopic side using supersymmetric localization, perturbative  matrix model and superconformal index with complex chemical potentials. Inspired  by this breakthrough, we can also study BPS black holes in other dimensions,  e.g. the AdS_4 case. More interestingly, we find that the microstate counting  works also for AdS_5 near-BPS black holes without supersymmetry. In this talk I  will discuss various aspects of these new developments. This talk is based on  the paper 1907.02505 and some work in progress.

  年骏博士2009年本科毕业于德国海德堡大学,2015年博士毕业于纽约州立大学石溪分校YITP杨振宁理论物理研究所),之后在法国IHES(高等科学研究院)以及美国密歇根大学任博士后研究员。年骏博士的研究兴趣较广,包括与弦论相关的全息理论,可积系统,引力理论,数学物理以及凝聚态理论等等。
