Abstract
We introduce the equivariant volume, along with the associated equivariant intersection numbers and characteristic classes, for non-compact toric Calabi-Yau manifolds. We then demonstrate, using two specific string theory examples, that supersymmetric partition functions can be expressed in terms of the equivariant data.
Speaker
Kiril Hristov completed his Ph.D. in 2012 at Utrecht University under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Vandoren, working on supersymmetric solutions and black holes in 4d N=2 supergravity. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Milano-Bicocca from 2012 to 2015, before joining the Institute for Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences as an assistant professor. He is currently Associate Professor at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. His research interests focus on supersymmetry, supergravity, black holes, string/M-theory, holography, localization, and exact results in quantum gravity.
The seminar will be broadcasted online by Zoom.
