Abstract
I will present some recent results on the non-perturbative completion of Hermitian matrix models. In this context, I will outline the construction of a resurgent, fully non-perturbative partition function in terms of a Zak transform. Further, I will focus on the non-perturbative eigenvalue density and show that it has oscillating contributions coming from FZZT branes. Interestingly, these oscillations are universal in the sense that they are independent of the choice of non-perturbative completion. As an application, I will demonstrate how these results can be readily applied to the Virasoro minimal string and its recent connection to 3D gravity with EOW branes.
Speaker
Dr. Maximilian Schwick is currently a postdoc in the group of Professor Susanne Reffert at the University of Bern. He got his PhD in IST Lisbon under the supervision of Ricardo Schiappa. He did his first postdoc in the group of Marcos Marino at the University of Geneva. He's very experienced with matrix model, mininal string theory, and resurgence theory.
The seminar will be broadcasted online by Zoom.
Interested people are free to join, without registration in advance.
